Bloomington Minnesota Waterproofing Projects For Wet Basements And Foundations

Waterproofing Minneapolis Home

Waterproofing Bloomington Apartment Basement Walls

This apartment building in Bloomington had some water issues during a recent heavy rain.  The damage wasn't enough to move the tenant out but needed to be fixed right away.

Great Lakes Waterproofing was able to get out within days to fix the wet apartment issues with exterior waterproofing.

Great Lakes Waterproofing works with several apartment management companies and owners in Saint Paul, Minneapolis, Bloomington, Richfield, South Saint Paul and the surrounding areas to help with wet apartments and we can usually be on the job site in days, not weeks.

Once the project is done, the area is cleaned and restored back to the way we found it.

Bloomington Drain-Tile System is Not Stopping Water

This Bloomington Home had a wet basement and the home owner had a drain-tile system installed a few months ago.

The light concrete area is where new concrete is applied over the drain-tile pipe system that leads to a sump pump.  The black plastic strip helps direct water down to the system and the dark areas are water!

Unfortunately the system stopped working almost immediately, the hollow blocks most likely have filled with sand and dirt that came in with the water plugging any channels to the drain tile system.

This is a very common problem about 60% of the homes we work on have a drain-tile system already installed.

Bloomington Basement Bowed Wall is Leaking Water

This Bloomington Home had a working drain-tile system but outside forces have pushed the wall creating the horizontal crack about 48" above the floor creating a wet basement the water goes through the wall here and misses the sump pump completely.

Great Lakes Waterproofing would recommend wall stablization using Fortress Brand Carbon Fiber Strips to stop wall movement.

On the outside, the best basement waterproofing would be to seal the wall using bentonite injections for wet basements.

This project would take a few days to complete both the interior wall work and exterior waterproofing.
